Term 3 Pet Day

We had a lot of animals come to school on Pet Day. We saw ponies, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, hens and dogs - lots of dogs. We even saw Mrs Trotter's Vinnie! He was a really good dog. We saw all the dogs walk around in a parade with their owners.

Mufti Day

On Friday lots of us dressed up as super heroes. We had a lot of people as Spider Man, Elsa and Ninja Turtles. There were a lot of lovely princesses and fairies as well. Have a look at our class photo and see if you can recognise us.

Playground Materials

We we went walking in our playground to look at lots of different materials in the playground. We had to decide what the properties of those materials are and why they have been used.

Science Fun

We made some clothes out of newspaper as part of a newspaper technology challenge.
It was a lot of fun but we found out that newspaper in NOT a suitable material for making into clothes!!

Science - Term 4

This term our Integrated Unit focus is Science. In Room 20, we are learning about  materials - what are they made of? We are learning about their properties and that objects are made of particular materials for a reason.

Here are hexagons that show how we grouped some materials.

Planting Fun

Miss Wood needed some help planting some vegetable and flower plants. She showed us what to do and our big friends helped us. We all agreed that we had had a great morning learning about growing food.

Term 4 Fun - In the Garden

We had a lovely day in the garden with Miss Wood and our buddies from Room 9. Our buddies are in Mr Ladbrook's class and they join us for Buddy Reading every two weeks. They are Year 7 and 8 students.
Miss Wood invited us to spend a morning taking part in her Garden to Table programme.
It started with the Buddies preparing food from our school garden. They made yummy salad to go into Vietnamese Spring Rolls.

Commonwealth Sports Day

MOn the 24th September, the whole school had a Commonwealth Sports Day. We all had to dress in our house colours and  compete in a number of activities. We all lots of fun and the winning house was Rata!
