Looking back . . . .
Our Garden
We all love working in the garden! The cauliflower in our garden was huge. Mrs Bergmann harvested it and gave us all a taste of the raw cauliflower. Room 21 came over and we shared the raw cauliflower with them. We all enjoyed it and wanted more. The raw cauliflower was sweet and very yummy!
Tyler and Sustainability
Tyler did some interesting discovery and it fits in with our topic - Sustainability.
Tyler's mum emailed the following in the holiday to Room 20:-
Tyler asked what would happen if we planted an apple seed, so we decided to find out.
Firstly he put the seed in a glass with wet tissue paper and to our surprise it germinated (sprouted).
We let it grow in the glass for a couple of weeks. He then re potted it in a bigger pot using plant food to help it grow. Then he gave it a good drink.
Watch this space !!!!!!!!!! Royal gala’s for everyone ………………in about 7 years J
Thank you Niki and Tyler, we can't wait . . . hhmmnnn, yummy apples!
Holly's maths home learning.
Holly and mum made some yummy marshmallows.
First Holly measured the sugar and water. Then she boiled it up and added the gelatine. Next she divided it into two lots and added the colour. Holly helped spread it onto the tray. They let it cool and then cut it into pieces. Holly then dipped the pieces in coconut.
Holly shared it with the whole class . . . hhhmmmm . . . yummy marshmallows!!!
